Smoked Apple Crisp
A delightful smoky twist on classic apple crisp, using granny smith apples and a buttery crumble topping.

Ingredients
Apple Mixture
- 5 lbs granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 pinch allspice
- 1 pinch nutmeg
Crumble Topping
- 0.5 cup flour
- 1 cup oats
- 0.33 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 stick unsalted cold butter
Instructions
- Place prepared apples in 9x13 pan and mix with apple ingredients.
- For the crumble, mix dry ingredients in a bowl and cut in cold butter with a pastry cutter or fork until crumbly.
- Spread evenly over apple mixture.
- Cover pan with foil and place on preheated smoker.
- Smoke at 350° F for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and smoke for an additional 30 minutes or until apples are tender and crumb has turned golden brown.
