A smoky sweet potato casserole with a delicious pecan streusel topping, perfect as a side dish.

large sweet potatoes

Streusel Topping

flour

chopped pecans

brown sugar

unsalted cold butter
Instructions
Smoke potatoes wrapped in foil until soft, about 1 hour at 350° F.
Peel potatoes and discard skin.
Mash potatoes with sweet potato ingredients.
Put potato mixture into greased 9x13 pan.
Make the streusel. Mix flour, brown sugar and salt in bowl.
Cut cold butter into mixture with pastry cutter or fork until crumbly.
Mix in chopped pecans.
Spread streusel over sweet potato mixture.
Smoke at 350° F for 45 minutes.
